Spells and other Magic stuff
Hi, i just wanted to ask if there´s going to be magic stuff like spells or if you will make the game without spells and stuff(like SAO). If you are going to make it without magic then you should use mana as a limitation for teleportation, healing and stuff like that.

We do Will have spell's(unlike SAO), but sadly they are for second plan, so we will start by working on weapon/crafting system first, spell's might be added later on

Ok and will the spells be like in ALO or will you make your own kind of spells.

It could be how the weapons system is you combine different parts to make them so there could be different modifiers like fire, ice, water, dark, light, etc then there could be a beam or area of effect modifier then a power to mp cost ratio (like 2 points of damage for 1 point of mp) and you need a certain number of sp to create it (like a basic beam would cost 100 and the elements add onto the price by 50 but you could only have one element then the damage ratio would be 2dmg:1mp and it would cost 10sp to increase the damage by 2 and the mp cost by one) i dont know how much coding that would take but i dont believe it would be impossibly difficult

Nice Guy's :3 thank's for being active while the forum is only released for tester's (we will add the forum to the indieDB page and send new members here ^^) so this will get more people i guess.
First.. we will have our own kind of skills.
We can work on a skill crafting system when weapon crafting system is complete
so player's can make their own kind of skill's and it would cost data points(I'm replacing skill points name for data points)
that way the game would have even more customization
though we may need fixed skill types, like player's can't mix some elemental skills whit movement skills .
also we need to figure out new skill types
my ideas for now:
Skill type:
-Move skill
-projectile skill
-summon skill
-heal skill
(all I can think in a fast period of time)
I guess i will add a topic under the category of Development whit skill info, we so we can keep updating it

i think you should implement healing skills, mana skills and teleportation skill in stones that costs mana per usage.(pretty much like they did it in sao)

the healing stones were essentially health potions that had an instant effect not a skill

We Will Have food For Slow Healing, and Potions + special Items for Instant Healing.
